Re: Williams Blog: National Signing Day Preview
Is there anyone in this class that might bolt from I-State?

Re: Williams Blog: National Signing Day Preview
I'm with you Chris.
Recruiting is the lifeblood of the program. It is the only way that college teams have to drastically improve the team. Those that dislike the recruiting aspect of college football really underestimate the importance of recruiting. One bad class will set the program back a few years.

Most of our guys seem like solid verbals and have been locked up for a while. There was some speculation about Shontrelle Johnson, but there is a recent press statement that he is solid. Take that for what it's worth.
Overall I think we are getting a huge influx of athleticism and lots of help on the O-Line. We could have used some more D-Line help, and may see some things happen tomorrow in that respect, but it wasn't for lack of trying on CPR and the staffs part.

Chris,
You need to stop posting these videos mid-day. Because I need to stop leaving work early to go home and watch them. I am grateful that my company allows access to CF...I'm not going to push my luck that they allow me to view CF (youtube) videos.

I hadn't hear anything about it either.
A quick search of Rivals shows the following LBs with ISU offers that are still uncommited. Homer Mauga Brandon Brown Luke Zelon
These guys are all three stars and would seem to be decent pickups. Homer is a JuCo with a bunch of offers listed. Brown and Zelon both have a couple other offers listed as well.
That doesn't account for anyone who is already commited elsewhere and would potentially jump ship to sign with the Cyclones though.

Re: Williams Blog: National Signing Day Preview
Tomorrow hopefully will only be full of good surprises for the Clones. Hopefully the commits that we have will sign with us and make it official. -
Re: Williams Blog: National Signing Day Preview
I'm all for some nice surprises but if we just don't have any decommits I'll be thrilled with this class.
Everybody keep in mind this class was recruited primarly with a 2-10 record and a brand new coaching staff. This class is very impressive when you break down the reality of it all.

I thought we are maxed at 26. Do we even have any scholarship for Kirksey/Bonomolo/Dancy?

I think that probably indicates someone won't make it out of our commits.

If that means one of the lower rated recruits getting a grey shirt, so be it. I don't think we can afford to pass up Kirksey for Jensen.

I mean Dancy is conditional...but supposedly we have offers waiting for Kirksey and Bonomolo if they want them. So do we have a couple other guys lined up to accept grey shirts if that is the case? I would hate to see us pull an offer in the 11th hour because one of these two commit...its very bush league.
