The Latest on Rony Nelson

A very qualified source tells me this about Rony Nelson's situation.

There has been some confusion between the football office and compliance about Nelson's situation. Why his name keeps popping up and going down, I cannot explain.

I'm being told that the list up on Iowa State University Athletics Official Web Site - www.CYCLONES.com - The home of Iowa State Cyclone Sports is as "official" as it can be right now and that everything will be cleared up at the press conference today at 3.

It is truly a "unique situation" is what I am being told.

Oh, and these always end up in our favor, see C.J. Bruton, Lucca Staiger and Jiri Hubalek. The NCAA hates us so this will result in us getting what, 1 game out of this guy?

Chris will you be posting another update in 5 minutes with new news on Rony. Seems like every 5 minutes something new is up with this kid. Makes for a fun signing day.

How could they not have?? We had a LOI in had first, by a guardian. They didn't give us anything, they gave A&M a chance to take him away.

Actually if a recruit turns in 2 loi's I believe that the ncaa can take away a year of eligibility so even though ISU got him he could have had to sit a year.
