Believe it or not, online classes tend to be much more difficult than traditional ones. The level of personal discipline needed in order to do well is MUCH higher for an online class, and the availability and usability of resources is significantly less. Trust me, I've been there multiple times.

And Library 160 is actually the hardest class at ISU.

CLARIFICATION- There was never mentioning of a "failed class." PR said he fell 1 credit short. That is all. I DO NOT KNOW THAT HE FAILED A CLASS.

it was pretty clear from the beginning yaman....but thanks for helping out those who are a bit slower. but your original message didnt lead me to believe that he failed anything. you said he fell one credit short. thats how i took it.

Actually, I never took an online class at ISU. My roomate did and he had a ***** of a time.

First off, it's a joke. Second, not even that unreasonable a jump considering the initial statement that online classes were hard was based on it requiring discipline because there's no professor to hold your hand and make sure you get stuff done. Same BS reason so many kids fail 160.

Yeah. From what i remember, you had to either start turning in homework a week at a time, or come back several weeks later and turn in all the homework and take the test all at once. Most choose the latter option, and because its a one time only class, and not part of the 'routine', many simply completely forget about the test date.

If I understand the deal with Hicks and Carlson right they were on academic probation and must have failed to get their GPAs above the required level. If that is the case, then University policy is to suspend them from school for the following semester. In this case, that would be the spring.

Not in PRs words, but mine. I think that is what happened. I am pretty sure he said the school suspended them.
