Sorry if this has been discussed. I could not find it anywhere. Did Dancy sign anywhere today? I thought with the loss of Hubert we might have room for 1 more recruit.
no dancy didnt sign anywhere. but doesnt sound like we have room for him now...even if someone doesnt make it to campus. at this point theyre already counted towards this years scholarships as far as i know. never know who is going to greyshirt i guess though.
I am about positive the running back from Urbandale is not going to qualify. We really want him, but his grades are not up to par. About sure hes heading to Iowa Central.
OK, I have done a little research and I cannot find anything that spells this scenario out but I would think that as long as the scholarship has not been used it may be moved to another person. I don't know for sure, but I think we could till fill those if the scholarship is not used.
thanks for the info yaman. your logic makes sense. but the other side of that tells me that the scholarship is spoken for with a signed letter of intent, not at time of enrollment.
back on topic of dancy....it was down to us and colorado state. CSU has recieved 27 LOIs already. now i have no idea what their scholarship situation was like, but with 27 they may be full. or sitting in the same boat as us. in which case paul is probably going to jump wherever has an opening first.
The other scenario in all this is Rony Nelson... because of the setback with grades he is no longer enrolled at ISU for the spring semester. As an early enrollee I believe he could have counted to last years total??? Now that he will be back for the summer does he count for next years scholarship total or was he counting on 2010 all along???
Also, I would assume that the scholarship totals only depend on who shows up in the fall minus greyshirts, early enrollees, etc. Why else would some of the SEC schools be able to sign 33+ in a class???

We had 4 early enrollees (now 3), and had one opening on last years total, so Nelson's change in status doesn't change the scholarship count.
