boise landed only 10 recruits??? really???

that is absurd. i don't understand this at all. how in the world does a bcs winner, a team that is in the hunt for a bcs game year in and year out, only land 10 guys. they ended up in the middle of a ***** conference on signing day despite the fact they are head and shoulders above the rest of those teams. it wasn't like this year was a fluke year, they have been good for quite a while now.

can you imagine what would happen on these boards if we only landed 10 recruits and ended up ranked 82nd overall? holy crap, this would be mayhem.

only 2 of those 10 were offered by bcs conference schools. the bulk of the class was offered by boise and boise alone.

They only lost 5 seniors and stole some pretty big recruits like Jeremy Ionae who they won over Notre Dame and Washington.

They went quality over quantity. As cysbsball said, they only graduated a few and had no immediate needs.

Wasn't ISU's class ranked in the 70's this year? I wouldn't call that much better considering the Clones got 18 more recruits.

Right at 60 according to rivals, it was 73 on scout. With that said, BSU finished at 82 on rivals. I would have thought that a smaller class would have finished with better prospects.

70 on Scout I think 55ish on Rivals. After the top 20 I don't really think there is much difference until about 80. It is all about talent evaluation.
