has anyone here heard that his dad is kind of a blowhard? I heard somewhere that thats the main reason that Ferentz backed out. Before you call me bitter about him going somewhere else, realize that I'm relieved he didn't go play for blowSU.

Yep, heard that. There was stuff over on the Michigan board about him awhile ago. He seems to be quite the.....uh.........for lack of a better term, situation.

Well being fair, the kid wasn't coming to Iowa anyway, so it was at best a long shot. With that said, on Morehouse's blog, which is usually pretty even keeled and not prone to hyperbole. There was speculation that KF got a sense of the "entitlement" meddling dad syndrome that has hampered chemistry in the past.

Yep, and I'd guess that is why?!?!? Incidentally I think Ryan Bain dad was as well. I thought it was implied "we learned" from other experiences.
