Anthony Young Listed By Rivals As "Instant Impact JUCO Player"
Rivals has listed it's ten "Instant Impact JUCO Players" and Iowa State's Anthony Young is listed among them.
Two other Big 12 JUCO transfers are listed. They are Jermarcus Hardrick (OT) of Nebraska and Malcolm Murray (DB) of Oklahoma State.
Of personal interest to me is Jakar Hamilton of Georgia. I had the privilege of watching this young man this past September when Georgia Military Academy played Ellsworth. Hamilton single-handidly turned the tide of the game towards Georgia Military Academy with a "pick six" in the fourth quarter. I had read about him in some of my pre-game preparation, but when I saw him on the field I was amazed. From what I saw, there is no doubt in my mind we'll be reading about him a lot over the next couple of years.

ISU was also heavily recruiting Derek Earls who is on that list for Arizona. Too bad we didn't get them both!

I like that part that says he's gained 10lbs since enrolling in January.

That is awesome news!!
Our secondary is becoming respectable now, always good, if we get our defense going this year again, i really like our chances to win the North, if not get second,
Nebby is going to be good
Mizzou loses witherspoon
K State- no way they can repeat
KU- growing pains in gills opening season

I am pretty sure they have the capability to repeat a bowless season.

We are playing for second in the north. Nebraska should be beyond solid.

Along with Caspers losing 3 inches off his waist but gaining 5 lbs. That is sweet.

Not if they don't figure out how to score.

I'm just not seeing why they're going to be better. Burkhead is a good running back, but they don't have a QB, and defensively they lose one of the best players college football has ever seen. Yeah, Crick is good, but how much of that was due to double and triple teams on Suh?
I agree that we're playing for 2nd in the North, but that has more to do with our south slate. We could sweep the North teams and not win a game against the south.
Re: Anthony Young Listed By Rivals As "Instant Impact JUCO Player"
I actually bet a guy $100 that Nebraska would not improve in either one of these Defensive Categories (Big 12):
Scoring Defense: 13.1 pts/game
Total Defense: 294.4 yds/game
You don't lose Suh and get better, plus that DE was pretty good to. NU will be good, but they don't scare me. Neither does Iowa.

Iowa will be a tougher game than Nebraska, but I think it's winnable. Iowa should win, but we definitely have a decent (30%) chance to win that game.
