CU > ISU
Scout.com: 2010 Big 12 North Schedule Breakdown
They have Colorado looking better then us and they play the big dogs also.
They also have Kansas looking pretty. & Looking at there schedule I can see why -
Re: CU > ISU
Bring it on. These guys don't really know anything. I am pretty sure none of them predicted we would make a bowl last year, which I did therefor, right now, Me>Them.
I'm on Twitter too: Tre4ISU
Or so I have read. -
Re: CU > ISU
im getting pretty sick of the national disrespect

Re: CU > ISU
I am going to go ahead and guarantee at least 10 wins for the Buffs next year. -
Re: CU > ISU
Wow. While I can reasonably see us finishing 5-7 it is a heck of a stretch to say Colorado can go 6-6. Colorado St, Cal, Georgia, Oklahoma and Texas Tech? Going 6-6 leaves no margin of error for them.

Re: CU > ISU
proves that sports writers really have little idea as to what theyre talking about.
i love sports trade deadlines the best, all the deals that they say "make the most sense" dont happen, then when a trade comes out of left field, "we saw this one coming, great trade"

When it all boils down, these morons really don't know anything outside of the elite programs

Re: CU > ISU
Scout sucks. They always have. I put them and Bleacher Report in the same conversation for worthless sports writing. Don't waste your time over there.

Re: CU > ISU
I can see how we would still be predicted rather low in the league. We went 3-5 in the Big 12 last year with the soft South schedule. We had home wins over Baylor and CU, and a freak upset over NU. On paper we have no business being ranked higher than NU. You could maybe make the case for KU or KSU even though we lost to both of them. But even then we would be looking at 8th place.
I know we are all pleased about last year and optimistic about the future, but we really haven't accomplished much on the field to justify piles of respect from the national press.

Re: CU > ISU
All you need to do is look at this. Look at our schedule compared to Moo U and kNU for instance. Toughest Schedules
Based on home games as well as who the teams play. when. North
1. Kansas
2. Colorado
3. Missouri
4. Nebraska
5. Kansas State
6. Iowa State

Re: CU > ISU
I like how they conveniently left off mentioning the UNI game. Yeah, it's not like they aren't any good at all...
-
Re: CU > ISU
This is how national media like this always works. They know enough about the top dogs, but when it gets down to who's better between two lesser known programs, they pick the one with more history because they're lazy and don't want to do any actual rersearch.

Re: CU > ISU
I actually think their write up on us is pretty realistic. We just went 6-6, 3-5 and have a much tougher schedule this year, while losing a big chunk of our D. I don't have much problem with their analysis of ISU.
I do think that they are very overly optomisitic on Colorado, however.

I think what they're saying is that ISU has the toughest schedule. They did a poor job of making it clear, but if you read the descriptions for each team it says Kansas should make a bowl game by merit of their easy schedule, and how ISU having to play Texas and OU on the road in consectuive weeks is unfair to any team.
I don't really find this article all that insulting, as I don't think they're saying ISU is worse than CU, just that CU has an easier schedule.

I do think that they are very overly optomisitic on Colorado, however. I have no problem at all with their prediction of us. As neither should anyone else. We get OU and Texas back to back on the road, have the toughest non-conference schedule we have had in years and our home games are no slouch between Texas Tech, Nebraska and Missouri. Even Kansas can be an x factor next year.
However, my issue is their optimism with Colorado. Hawkins has done squat in his time there and suddenly they expect a .500 record with a bear of a schedule. I don't think so.
