Re: Boost the Hawks Ego
How can you boost that which is already infinite?

Re: Boost the Hawks Ego
That article brings up a point about Iowa that gets lost in the shuffle. They have a really underrated receiving corps. McNutt once again demonstrated how an athletic QB makes for a hell of a wide receiver.
In 1984, I was hospitalized for approaching perfection. -
Re: Boost the Hawks Ego
If that game is the third best/toughest, then the rest of the conference must have loaded up on cupcakes. That is a pathetic list.

Re: Boost the Hawks Ego
Holy crap Baylor is going to get completely ambushed @ TCU.

Doesn't look like cupcakes to me. Iowa will likely be better than many teams on that list. I think it's a pretty accurate assessment.

Also I would say our game against Utah is a tougher game than UCLA or Washington

Re: Boost the Hawks Ego
This list is an absolute joke.
No Utah, but you have Free Shoes, UCLA, and Washington just to name a few....
Iowa will start the season as the highest rated team on the list (maybe save for TCU) and we play in IC, 3rd toughest??????

Also I would say our game against Utah is a tougher game than UCLA or Washington Yeah, they were in 2005 too. People love to jump on the iowa hype bandwagon. And iowa usually disappoints in that scenerio...especially when they are taking hits on the OL.
Sorry, but the list of:
Florida State
TCU
Arkansas
Georgia
Cincinnati
Georgia Tech
Washington
Cal
UCLA
...doesn't look all that impressive when you are talking about 12 teams all with 4 nonconference games. Let's see, two reloading ACC teams, one with a new coach. Two rebuilding SEC teams that could be good, but probably won't challenge for a BCS spot. Three former great Pac-10 teams that are in various stages of their way back, but still have a ways to go. And a Big East team that had its one great year and now have a new coach.

Re: Boost the Hawks Ego
I like the Fact that Iowa will be ranked really high when we invade Iowa City.
This will add the "Rhoads Warriors" Legend. We played pretty good on the Rhoad last year except for Texas AM, but that was after the huge NU wiin.
Kent State - won
K-State - neutral site
Nebbby - won
AM - lost
Mizzou - played well

Re: Boost the Hawks Ego
2 Things:
1 - I hate Iowa but....
2 - They will be good next year and playing them at Iowa will be extremely difficult. They should be top 10 to start the season and playing any top 10 team on their field is difficult. Give props where props are due; Iowa will be good (possibly great?).
Yep, this thread has just been pwned.
