Seems reasonable with the exception of Texas, who could easily behind kNU and OU. IMO, this is the year they come back to earth.
Never underestimate the value of a proven QB. Just ask Stoops.

We are probably the garden center since most people think of farms when they think of Iowa.
THEY APPARENTLY DIDN'T SEE THE CYCLONES PLAY THIS YEAR THOSE DUMB***ES
I'll guess we will just have to prove everyone wrong.....again..same story, new season.......this season should show how incompetent ubben will be proven to be......
$10 says this is already up on the wall somewhere in the Jake.
Honestly, I could accept his "Power Ranking" if his reasoning made any sense.
He seriously makes it seem as if our defense only has four people returning who played at all last year. I personally think that the secondary will be better and there is potential for the D-Line to be better as well. The only big question mark is how the LBers will play.
He seems to have something positive to say about every team but ISU which is perplexing.
He has KSU as number 6 with the only positive being that they had the lest turnovers in the Big12. So they are going to go from no bowl to #6 in the conference because it is Bill Snyders second year back?
He states that Kansas lost all of its offensive stars, but they have a soph running back so they will jump ahead of ISU? ISU has a senior RB who was one of the top rushers in the conference.
He lists a bunch of concerns about Colorado (offensive line issues, 3 scholarship RBs...) but they will be better than ISU too?
It just doesn't make any sense.
How is this surprising to anyone? Outside of the game that Nebraska handed us and the game that Minnesota did not want to be at.... Who did we beat to impress anyone last year?
Not to be a downer - but we really did not impress anyone last year so why are we expecting respect this year?
I'll give him that we had a bigger turnover margin in our favor, but Texas only beat Nebraska by one point last year and he has them ranked FIRST...oh and we were AT NEBRASKA. There are plenty of reasons he could of used to justify placing us last, but the NU game is not one of them.Quote:
what does it say about a team when its best win (Nebraska) came by only two points when it forced eight turnovers and committed none?
You get dumber by the post.
We were supposed to win MAYBE 3 games last year according to most predictors. We won 7. It impressed a lot of people, just not David Ubben. A lot of people in that thread have thought ISU should be higher.
We went from 2 wins to 7 wins in one year. We improved our win total by as many games as our previous coach had won in 2 years. If that can't get through your skull, I'm not sure what will. And Nebraska only gave us 1 TO. Our guys went out there and got the other 7.
im not worried bout this at all. We are not gonna finish dead last i have confidence in that regardless of our schedule. KU, KSU, Mizzou and Nebraska at home are all games we can win. Throw in maybe one upset and we can finish 2 or 3 in the north i believe! Lets Go State!
The schedule is brutal for you guys. Yeah, you get NU and MU at home and KSU in KC. Those are definitely winnable, but they are definitely losable, too. When you play the tougher teams at home and the easier ones (ku, cu) on the road, that makes for a potential heartbreaking season. Combine all that with having to play TT, @OU, @UT and that is just not fair. No team should have to play that schedule.
I guess maybe this year A&M, OU, and UT might be worse compared to TT, OU, UT but who knows.
Good luck. You guys will have to earn every win in the big12 next year.
