Let's try All-Time Best ISU LBs now!
My mind is drawing a total blank on this one.
How about Dobbins, Washington, Braswell?
I know that's probably not the best list, but I can't think of any? Matt Word? Brandon Brown? Ace Bowen? Who ya got?

Kid you haven't been around long enough. You have to add Matt Blair as probably one of the best if not the best. Also a couple of others come to mind, Tom Boskey, Jeff Braswell, Dennis Gibson. I'll have to rack my mind a little more, there are some others. I see their faces but names elude me.

Excessive intake of alcohol, we all know, kills brain cells, but naturally it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. That's why you always feel smarter after a few beers. -

I can't believe I forgot him. I did have Braswell in there.
Thanks for the help. I knew I was forgetting a lot of guys.

Matt Blair for sure. However, there was another "Jesse Smith" type linebacker from back in the 70s by the name of Keith Schroeder that was one of those "play with all your heart" kind of players. Not too big or fast, just a lot of desire.

Brandon Brown was VASTLY underrated in my opinion.
Now that MBB is back, do we still have to pretend that WBB matters?

Chris Washington in the early '80's was very good.

Mark Carlson-Donnie Duncan's first recruit from Lytton, Iowa. Smartest LB ever-Chem E grad. Snag an interception in the flat near the south end zone against Colorado State in the early 80's.
