All-Time Cyclone Football Roster
I started this project a few weeks ago before a similar thread from a while back here on cyclonefanatic was pointed out to me. Nonetheless, I wanted to share. Please take a look, let me and everyone else know if your favorite Cyclone was left off the team, or feel free to tell a story about a player you hadn't thought about for a while.
My premise was simple, select the best Cyclone Football player to wear each number 1-99. Here are the first 25 ... 1 Todd Blythe … WR … Indianola, Iowa 2 Ennis Haywood … RB … Dallas, Texas 3 Damien Groce … WR … San Bernadino, California 4 Michael Wagner … RB … West Covina, California 5 R.J. Sumrall … WR … Orlando, Florida 6 JaMaine Billups … S … Omaha, Nebraska 7 Bret Meyer … QB … Atlantic, Iowa 8 Austin Flynn … WR … Deer Park, Texas 9 Jeff Shudak … K … Council Bluffs, Iowa 10 Alex Giffords … K … Tucson, Arizona 11 Ellis Hobbs … CB … DeSoto, Texas 12 George Amundson … QB/RB … Aberdeen, South Dakota 13 Tony Washington … S … Dearborn, Michigan 14 Tony Hawkins … S … Onondaga, New York 15 Seneca Wallace … QB … Sacramento, California 16 Dwight Nichols … RB … Knoxville, Iowa 17 Jeff Waters … S … Carson, California 18 Sage Rosenfels … QB … Maquoketa, Iowa 19 Craig Campbell … WR … Sante Fe Springs, California 20 Mike Lincavage … FS … Chatsworth, California 21 Blaise Bryant … RB … Huntington Beach, California 22 Tommy Davis … RB … East St. Louis, Missouri 23 Tom Watkins … RB … Chicago, Illinois 24 Dexter Green … RB … Woodbridge, Virginia 25 Mark DouBrava … FS … Urbandale, Iowa

Re: All-Time Cyclone Football Roster
Does anyone know what number Dave Hoppmann was? I think he would merit consideration.

The decision between Hoppmann and Nichols was one of the most difficult to make.
There were many that were really hard, but that was near the top.

Re: All-Time Cyclone Football Roster
Great list. Cant find any glaring defects.
Good work.
Joe Henderson and Jeff Braswell jump out at me but I may be biased since I played with them.

Excessive intake of alcohol, we all know, kills brain cells, but naturally it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. That's why you always feel smarter after a few beers. -

What number was Jack Trice?

When I think 33 I think of Henderson first and also Brandon Brown. Both Henderson and Strachan were good RBs for ISU, but Strachan was 2-time All-Big Eight. My heart went Henderson, but my mind went Strachan
At 51, I went a little bit more with my heart as I knew Oliver Ross personally.
If others agree with TheCaptain, please let it be known. I see this project as a work in progress and won't be afraid to change it with overwhelming demand.
