I started this project a few weeks ago before a similar thread from a while back here on cyclonefanatic was pointed out to me. Nonetheless, I wanted to share. Please take a look, let me and everyone else know if your favorite Cyclone was left off the team, or feel free to tell a story about a player you hadn't thought about for a while.

My premise was simple, select the best Cyclone Football player to wear each number 1-99. Here are the first 25 ...

Does anyone know what number Dave Hoppmann was? I think he would merit consideration.

Hoppmann wore #16

The decision between Hoppmann and Nichols was one of the most difficult to make.

There were many that were really hard, but that was near the top.

Bingo. Very good Erik. Dobbins was breifly considered, but Hill was just too good to not put in there at #44

Both were definately considered.

When I think 33 I think of Henderson first and also Brandon Brown. Both Henderson and Strachan were good RBs for ISU, but Strachan was 2-time All-Big Eight. My heart went Henderson, but my mind went Strachan

At 51, I went a little bit more with my heart as I knew Oliver Ross personally.

If others agree with TheCaptain, please let it be known. I see this project as a work in progress and won't be afraid to change it with overwhelming demand.
