    Most overachieving ISU team?

    I'm really in a football mood with spring practice starting...

    What do you think was the most overachieving ISU football team ever?

    You could make a case for the 2000 basketball team and it's elite 8 run.

    If I remember right they were picked last or near last in the Big 12 coming into the season and also lost to Drake of all teams early in the season. But by the middle of the conference season people knew that we had a pretty good squad.

    The Dirty 30. I don't buy last years squad were overachievers, that does them an injustice. Last year just proved what good coaching can do.

    In my lifetime, probably 2004. Lots of young guys, freshmen and sophomores at skill positions. Coming off a 2-10 season that was A LOT worse than '08 2-10 campaign. That '03 team wasn't in a single game in the 2nd half after they beat Ohio in week 2.
