An incredibly horrible 2.7 average. But don't let facts get in the way of Jake Williams hate.
Everyone always gushes about Iowa's possession receivers (Ed Hinkel, Trey Stross, etc.), and when ISU finally gets not just one, but two of these guys in Williams and Lenz, everyone counts them out.
I hope everyone just keeps counting Jake out. The dude is a football player and ISU's second best receiver. He will start in the fall and be just as productive as last year. Facts? ISU threw the screen pass to Reynolds on every play and Iowa was all over it. He had to dance around guys just to get 2.7 yards.
There is a reason the coaches talk Reynolds up more than any other WR and a reason that he started the season.
And who gushed over Trey Stross? He didn't do anything at Iowa

And who gushed over Trey Stross? He didn't do anything at Iowa For Reynold's being a guy who could take a screen pass and turn it into a 20 yards gain, he sure never did it when he did play last year. The only reason the coaches talk about Reynold's is because the press keeps asking when he will play so everyone can see if he will live up the ridiculous hype around him.
And by the way, Stross had 31 catches for 414 yards last year, a 13.4 average. Just pathetic.

And you are dead wrong about Reynolds. Watch a press conference following a practice. Herman mentions him first when talking about a guy that can make a play. Says how he goes out and catches the ball.
I like how you are basing everything off of 2 games last year in a brand new offense. Reynolds will start again this year over Williams.

Last year we ranked 94th in receiving yards out of 119 teams in the country. Our WR's couldn't get open and get seperation
