I think the offense is poised for some major breakouts.

Last year, Herman threw the entire playbook at them, and it caused problems for a lot of guys, especially AA, who has to learn every position besides his own. After dealing with that thing for a year, they've grasped it.

I remember last year when Rhoads said during Spring ball that the defense was ahead of the offense, and the season seemed to look that way at times as well. It seems like right now, the offensive talent is starting to put it all together. I don't think the coaches would be praising these guys so publicly if they weren't seeing some really impressive stuff out of them.

From what I am hearing it seems like the focus for the inexperienced linebackers is consistency. It seems like they have the physical tools to make all the plays, they just need to make them every time.

I agree. Offense could be something fun to watch this year.

I also liked your comment on the blog itself, gamedays at ISU are awesome and I would imagine it being even better this year than in years past with all the buzz around the program. Should make for a fun fall.

The linebackers have a long way to go, with A.J. Klein and Jake Knott bringing only 40 career tackles combined into their first season as likely starters.

The question is, did he mean a long ways to go because of what he saw in practice or due to the inexperience?

It would have been better to see some glowing comments about him throwing the ball, we already know the guy can make plays with his feet.
