I took my kids to the Letterwinner's FB Clinic this morning in the indoor practice facility. It was sparsely attended this year, but what amazed me is how many players and coaches turned out for it, and not only that how many of the "name" players were there. Kudos to the staff and team for the event.
For my kid who's 5 he loved it. They did a bunch of warm ups with the kids. There were enough players that it was almost a 1 to 1 ratio. Then they basically rotated from station to station and spent five minutes doing different "drills" with the various position groups. Then afterward they had enough time mingle and get whoever's autograph on their shirts that they wanted. It wasn't one of those forced get in a line and spend 10 seconds getting an authograph. It was free flow, and they took lots of photos as well with the kids. Very low key, which I thought was nice.
I don't recall seeing anything about this...might be why attendance was low. Where was this promoted? I will have to keep this in mind for next year. This event, with the spring game, would be great for my lil ones.

I'd bet that besides the lack of publicity for the event, most kids were at the VEISHEA parade. One of the real downsides to having the spring game on VEISHEA weekend. I can see both sides, but personally, I'd rather have them on different weekends, so we can enjoy the VEISHEA activities AND spend more time doing spring game stuff. I definitely wish that the trivia event was mid-summer. Oh well, I can see why they do what they do.
The camp ends at 10:00 which is a half hour before the parade so you could easily do the camp, the parade, tailgate, and the spring game... It was on Cyclones.com as well as discussed on here. Great time, our son had a blast!
