Road Trip to Colorado this fall
Need some input fanatics. My wife is a big Bronco's fan and huge Cyclone fan.
We play at Boulder on the 13th and the Bronco's are at home against the Chiefs on the 14th. I want to suprise her with a trip out to CO this fall.
Here's my question. Should I stay in Denver Fri, Sat, Sun and just drive up to Boulder for the game on Sat, or is a night in Boulder worth it?
Any suggestions on places to stay? Thanks!
Also, anybody else considering this trip?

Re: Road Trip to Colorado this fall
We went to boulder the last time.... it was my favorite road trip ever.
made it into a long weekend.... game was in mid afternoon... flew out of dsm that morning at 6... drove to boulder... we stayed at the hotel where the ISU party was... tailgated there..
pretty cool atmosphere and the fans were really very friendly.
Seeing Ralphie run in person was well worth the trip alone.
we hit up downtown boulder quite a bit and spent time in Rocky Mountain National Park.
We left Sat morning and came back Monday night. Worth every penny.

Re: Road Trip to Colorado this fall
hope this helps. i personally have never been to boulder, but if you are going to be do any heavy drinking, doing the drive between boulder and denver is probably not the best idea. but that field in denver is AMAZING. toured it, and my jaw dropped. id love to go to a game. and yes, if you get that far you gotta go check out rocky mountain for at least a day. the drive is not bad, but if you only have a weekend might be worth flying, id check kc and omaha prices.

Re: Road Trip to Colorado this fall
We always go to Boulder for the I State games, and really enjoy it. Great weather, nice stadium and plenty of hotels. Simply google "hotel's near University of Colorado" and take your pick. I check out Hotels and Vacation Reviews - TripAdvisor for reviews of each before I use them. It's a fun place to go and there are always a lot of Cyclones there, and a Cyclone function.
