Telephone Trophy?

If all the recent Mizzou to the Big10? expansion talk is true what becomes of one of the great underated rivalries in all of cfb, the annual Telephone Trophy game with mizzou? It may not have the cache of the Red River Shootout or the Cocktail Party, or a famous trophy like the little brown jug of floyd of rosedale, but there is no denying that any clone or tiger fan worth their salt lives for this. I hope we can schedule and annual non-conference game with the kittens similiar to what we do with the hawks so this rivalry will live on!

Not really a big deal to me. I've never seen Missouri as a bigger rival than Kansas, Kansas St, or Colorado.

Not a big deal. Let them move on. I don't believe MU fans really consider it a big deal

I loathe Mizzou but if it weren't for the trophy I don't think most ISU fans would care about the rivalry.

Other than it's a nice piece of hardware to put in the trophy case, I'm not sure even ISU fans consider it much of a rivalry.

If it wasn't for EA Sports having it in their video games, I would assume a lot of people and even ISU fans wouldn't know about the trophy.

Who cares? Mizzou is not a rivalry that 90% of Cyclone fans care about.

Most Mizzou fans have never heard of it unless they play one of the EA video games.

Can't say most fans care about the mizzou game all that much.

Hell, i travelled to away games against Texas, KU, TAMU, and KSU before i ever hit a game at Faurot.

Might be ugly, but at least it's better looking than the Cy-Hawk Trophy (even though it has a more prominent place in all of our hearts)...

HA! All my friends who go to Mizzou either don't care about or don't KNOW about the Telephone Trophy. Hasn't left Columbia in a few years anyways. Really an irrelevant rivalry anymore.

has anyone outside the state of iowa heard of this trophy?
