#2 on Rivals 100 list Iowa State
I know we have no shot to land him in the end but I think its pretty cool that we made his list for the time being. I dont remember ever seeing us on a guys list with 5 stars on it. Gerald Mccoy listed us for a bit but he dropped us before the rankings came out. It would be a miracle to land him though. Tony Steward - Yahoo! Sports -

We need to start putting offers out to kids like this. Can we land them? Maybe not but eventually we could with continued program success and CPR at the helm.

I think we have a pretty good shot, now that he's narrowed it down to 2 dozen schools. -
Re: #2 on Rivals 100 list Iowa State
Hey thats cool it goes to show you how much confidence our coaching staff has, sure we may not land them, but hey it says we can compete with the big boys, and i LOVE it that we're trying to get these guys, we may not be able to offer what USC has we can't give them cars/money, but we can GUARANTEE them playing time.

If only he would launch a web based voting contest to decide which schools to eliminate from his list. ____________________________________

Believe me, CPR is not going to be scared to go after these types of players. We likely won't get any in the short term, but if there starts to be a continued success, we may grab one here and there. Just recruit them hard and let the chips fall. Right now we can pitch playing time and being part of a huge turnaround.

Here is how I look at it, we are only offering a limited number of scholarships this year with the numbers that we have in the program. Why not go after the big dogs.

Curt Maggit didn't make the top 100 but we are on his list.

Re: #2 on Rivals 100 list Iowa State
We are in on some people in the rivals 100 list. It's nice that we are seeing the talent and offering these kids. Hopefully this recruiting cycle we can get some 1-3 4 star recruits out of high school, rather than Jucos. I think that would be a good step.
