What happens when we win the Big 12 North this year? ?

That game starts at 1pm. As the last drive comes, iowa state will throw the game winning touchdown at 3:56PM.

Unfortunately, at around 3:30 pm, skynet becomes self aware, and the strikes hit seconds after the touchdown is made.. due to the 7 second delay, nobody that wasnt in that stadium sees it happen.

im just wondering..is it your record against just north opponets or the entire big 12 for the north standings?

Against all Big 12 opponents. If Nebraska loses to Texas, at aTm,at Oke State and at Iowa State, they are 4-4. We win with a head to head victory.

The schedule is laid out nicely to win the North:
NU, KU, MU at home.
KSU at neutral site.
CU in Boulder.

You really couldn't ask for a better Big 12 North Schedule.

I'm tired of hearing about Texas & OU being automatic losses. Let's get um this time around. No one predicted a win in Lincoln last fall. Get er done, Paul.

well id say to answer your question no, no one would be rushing to pick up ISU... however i do believe we have a chance at the north... why wouldnt we? Kansas, Kstate are both very very average teams. Colorado and Missou have some talent, but are not that un beatable by any stretch. So thats 4 out of the 5 other teams in the north. Nebraska is only team predicted to be really tough. But they still have answers at QB, and the defense has a lot of good players back, but no SUH so who knows. Texas and OU on schedule hurt, but thats only 2 loses... I think you can lose 3-4 conference games in any season and win the north.

Since when did we become better than very very average? KU and KSU both beat us last year. We also had to struggle to beat CU at home. I really HOPE that we pull out a great season but people need to be prepared for a huge let down from these extremely high expectations.

We lost a LOT on defense. That defense is what got us the CU, NU, and Minn. wins last year.

2004 was the last time a team won the Big 12 North with a 4-4 record and that was an historically terrible year for the Big 12 North. I do not see Nebraska finishing 4-4.

I kinda see this. It's a bit like Nebraska's the favorite and then there's the other 5 of us for the North. Without looking at schedules and returning players, I'd have to think Missouri is prob. a leading candidate for 2nd -- but the other 4 have to be a toss-up.

I have two predictions based on this thread: A 4-4 team will not win the Big 12 north and ISU will not be 4-4. Honestly with the defense we have an a pretty much totally unproven offense I can't see how anybody would think we would win the north next year.
