So if company X had the minimum number of employees and one passes away, the company dissolves without having time to find a replacement? What I'm saying is the 7 schools that are leaving, in their final act as members of the conference, move and vote to dissolve the conference, it's a simple majority, and it's officially dead.

So if company X had the minimum number of employees and one passes away, the company dissolves without having time to find a replacement? There has to be a vote to dissolve, with the majority voting yes. Just leaving won't do it.

Don't they need 9 votes to dissolve the conference? Why would ISU, KU, KSU or BU/Colorado & potentially Mizzou vote for that?

Re: ...sounds like the Mountain West doesn't want us
**** it. Let's just go independent. After all, we suck, so everyone should want to play us right? The problem is generating revenue, well, let's see if we can get a cut through playing on other peoples networks.

According to Delaware corporate law (by which the Big 12 conference was founded), they only need simple majority to dissolve the conference, which is 7 votes. CHAPTER 1. The more I read I don't think that's right. It was posted at Orangebloods that it will take 9 to cancel buyouts. If they are saying that, then I sort of have to lean that way even though I don't know for sure. It could be it takes 7 to dissolve but 9 to cancel buyouts.

I think that's right. I hope the frozen 5 agree to cancel buy-outs in exchange for the other 7 allowing the conference to continue.

I can't believe the negativity of some of our "fans" right now. I'm baffled. I'm just hoping that most of these thread titles and comments are being generated by Hawk fans posing as Cyclone fans on this site.
