Not saying this is going to happen or anything, BUT let's say the rest of the Big 12 decides to stay together. We have lost Nebraska and Colorado. We go and pick up TCU and Utah. Athletically....are we a better conference now? Nebraska football would be a loss but all together for football and basketball I would have to say that the Big 12 would be stronger. What do you guys think?

If adding those 2 meant moving OU and OSU to the north I think it could turn out good. But it would make it a pain to win the north.

Agreed. I was looking at just football and basketball. I think we would be better off at that point. Nebraska and CU basketball is horrible. TCU was better than both at football the last 5 years and Utah was on par with Nebraska (maybe better). Add those schools to a big conference like the Big 12 and they could just get better

Gotta say I am more excited about the opportunity to join the Big East than I am staying in the Big 12 with addition of TCU and Utah (as you suggest)

If you think about it, OU and Oky State would have to move to the North.

Lets be real, there are only 2 sports, football and MBB. TCU and Utah are not NU in football, but they are better in basketball.

Both schools beat CU in both sports. So overall, a wash, but name recognition takes a hit.
