What are your expectations?
What are your expectations next season (2011) in this "round robin" approach? I know it will be easier to get two Big 12 teams to the BCS now, helping the league. I think 7-5 or 8-4 sounds reasonable.

Re: What are your expectations?
CU doesn't leave till the 2012 season, right?
For "I", for "S", forever!
For Iowa State all the way.
Let's go! To show them what the gang's all here for,
Go! To show them how the Cyclones cheer.
For "I", for "S", forever!
For Iowa State do it right!
It's time to climb up on the vict'ry wagon,
Fight! Iowa State, Fight! Fight! -

CU and NU were almost guaranteed losses for ISU in the past, even with CU's sucking of late. So change two sure losses here for TX and OU = even. Add in games against TT and A&M yearly, and we have a tougher schedule, but more consistent. So future good years are most likely not due to soft schedule.
The names change, but the game remains the same. It will depend on which non-conference game gets shuttled as Pollard has them scheduled to the end of time. 99% probability ISU-Iowa stays. Too much instate money both ways to cancel. So we lose likely a sure win non-con.
But using 2012 as template, let's guess. On Will be chart, changes are bold. Schedule Was
Sat, Sep 01 Tulsa Ames, Iowa
Sat, Sep 08 Iowa at Iowa City, Iowa
Sat, Sep 15 Western Illinois Ames, Iowa
Sat, Sep 22 Western Kentucky (Family Weekend) Ames, Iowa
Sat, Sep 29 Texas A&M * Ames, Iowa
Sat, Oct 06 Kansas (Homecoming) * Ames, Iowa
Sat, Oct 13 Baylor * at Waco, Texas
Sat, Oct 20 Nebraska * Ames, Iowa
Sat, Oct 27 Kansas State * at Manhattan, Kan.
Sat, Nov 03 Oklahoma State * at Stillwater, Okla.
Sat, Nov 10 Colorado * at Boulder, Colo.
Sat, Nov 17 Missouri * Ames, Iowa Schedule will be
Sat, Sep 01 Tulsa Ames, Iowa
Sat, Sep 08 Iowa at Iowa City, Iowa
Sat, Sep 15 Western Illinois Ames, Iowa Sat, Sep 22 Texas (Family Weekend) Ames, Iowa
Sat, Sep 29 Texas A&M * Ames, Iowa

Sat, Oct 13 Baylor * at Waco, Texas Sat, Oct 20 Oklahoma * Ames, Iowa

OK, now tell me W-L. Assuming the schedule retooling works this way (you're probably right -- although schedule sequence might be altered):
Tulsa W
at Iowa L
Western Illinois W
Texas L
Texas A&M W
Kansas W
at Baylor W
Oklahoma W
at Kansas State L
at Oklahoma State L
at Texas Tech L
Missouri W
A total guess at this point.
I prefer the round-robin to divisional. I don't like the "easy/hard" rotation dichotomy, because it's generally a reason to make excuses (and, some seasons, playing A&M/OSU/Baylor wasn't automatically "cake" compared to TT/UT/OU overall — and there was no way to prove the difference, either).
