Can I ask how exactly Utah got themselves to the PAC 10? This is ridiculous. If you win three National Titles someone will pick you up just for pure game revenue. If you honestly think no one would watch ISU if they won 3 straight National Titles, you are out of your mind. All of your comparisons are to a different sport. Basketball doesn't even touch football in terms of influence.

If we win 3 NC's in a row in football, we will be in a major conference if the Big 12 dissolves. We would have a national following-see Nebby. Texas only has 3 NC's throughout its existence.

Is this guy really stupid? If we are winning championships more people are watching us. Its not like no one is going to watch the Championship game because Iowa State is playing. Also what does Kansas Basketball have to do with anything? Basketball just isn't a money maker, football is. Kansas still makes more money off having a ****** football team than they do having a great basketball team. Plus you have to account for all the bandwagoners. Fans come out of no where when a team is winning.

People would watch, id be front row... Im just saying that doesnt put us in a Big TV market... Boise State is kicking butt but i dont see the PAC 10 and SEC lining up to add them... They have won more games in the last 5 years then probably any other team. I know the WAC isnt the same... But they have a great national title shot this year and the Big 10 still wont want them... they dont bring more money to the table... thats my point... ISU would not have the national following for at least 20 years of straight success, thats why...

So Utah is where the TV is at huh? They are one of three Div 1 football schools in the state. They don't have a big market. Boise State is held back because their academics are a joke. If they had our academics they would be BCS.

Precisely - THIS is the only reason Nebby got taken by the Big Ten and has a $75 million athletics budget - has NOTHING to do with the number of TV sets in the state - has to do with the nielson ratings across the country - Nebraska can get great ratings because of all the fans they have from years past - similar to Notre Dame, but not quite as good as them, obviously, alther Nebraska filled so many seats in South Bend that they say it was 45% red that day.

If Iowa State just went 3 10 win seasons we'd make more TV ratings because all of our uninterested alumni around the country would all of the sudden be interested in watching games - Success breeds Succes as they say.

Even the Montana/Montana State game has huge turnout in Austin for their annual game watch because Montana has been in the FCS championship so often as an example - their alumni are very in tune to football because they are so successful.
