Freshman update

Here to update on a reliable source on Jeremiah George and Floyd Mattison. This person tells me that Jeremiah has gained about 8-9 pounds since he has been here working out, so far this summer. Told me he looks very sharp and very focused in the weight room. On Mattison(who has been out of the weight room for a year, i'm not sure why?) is up to 200 LBS. and said he can be a "freak" when hes got his head on straight.

I am really exited to see Jeremiah. I do think he will get plenty of playing time this up coming season. For Floyd i just hope every thing works out for him to be with us. Jeremiah is going to be one big play maker for us. Mark it down.

With George, Knott, and Klein we have three potentially outstanding young LB's. At Safety, we seem a bit thing...and so I'd hope Mattison stays at SS. We could use a big kid with tremendous speed back there...couple him up with those 3 young LB's and that's a nice core for the back 7. Now we need to get that front wall shored up.

this is good news.i hope these two put their studies on the front burner and realize their opportunity for an excellent education.too many of our athletes have been dropping out due to grades and not taking their studies seriously.

After seeing that interview with George a while back, I got very excited about him being with the team. He really seems to have a good head on his shoulders, and I'm hoping he can turn into another Ace Bowen.

Reliable source: 5'10" at most. Good frame. How much weight on that frame?

Jeremiah is around 198-200 LBS. now. He came in at 190 LBS.
