And to get it straight, I know and like Jesse. I've known him since his freshman year. I have no problem with Jesse. It gets old when people keep referencing his situation, which is by far an aberration. For every Jesse Smith, there's 25 guys that don't make it. To put that sort of expectation near a lot of these kids is unfair to them.
Miller is in a totally different boat. He's expected to produce. Otherwise he wouldn't have been offered. I know Jesse had some question marks around him, enough to not land an offer, and the expectations are different.
But, whatever, that's where I'm leaving that. I'm excited to have Miller on board. It's difficult for a LB to stand out in 7 on 7, but he did.

Re: Who committed today? Someone verballed!
It will be intersting to see what he develops into. He's probably not done growing yet.
Like the story line behind this. The coach's contact a local high coach, they send some tape. We immediatatly check the kid out and invite hiim up and then offer a scholarship.
Wonder if he was on anybody elses radar?

As someone mentioned he was the MVP of the 7 on 7 tourney and that is hard to do as a LB. He's a great kid and he's worked hard.

If you would read the article instead of being your typical ******* self and just throwing statements around like you know something, you would have seen that he ran that at the ISU camp. Therefor it is accurate. Would he run it every time? Who knows.
I'm on Twitter too: Tre4ISU
Or so I have read. -
Re: Who committed today? Someone verballed!
If he is very similar to Jake Knott, I for one will be pleased.

this dude must have dominated that league if he got a D1 schollie. those schools are tiny. Bob Gallery was also from a class A school. hopefully he turns out as well as gallery did for iowa.

Scout.com: Dream fulfilled for newest Iowa State commit
After reading that...and seeing the pic of this kid...count me pumped! Only in Iowa does this kid stay under the radar. He looks like a beast.

From the Scout article:
I'll play anywhere as long as I can get on the field at some point.
Gotta love it!
