Well we do lose by 30 or so last year and they have most of there defense back.

We almost always are 2 TD underdogs and cover usually pretty good. Sounds about right with the game at IC and expectations for both teams. Since we haven't gotten in the endzone for awhile against them, I'm suprised it's not higher.

We should be more than a 14 point underdog.. Remember we are a bad team. Making a bowl game and winning it doesnt matter. We are a baddd team. Iowa is a goodddd team ranked top ten. Remember? They have Ricky a heisman hopeful, we have Austen ranked behind Ricky and Vanderwhatever. We are just plain baddd, Iowa is goodddd.

I remember Iowa struggling to beat Minnesota 12-0 at the end of the year. I'll hang my hopes for a close game on that.

we will see how ISU's defensive line looks after game 1, that will tell us if it is a 10 point or 21 point spread by kick off.

Haven't we killed the spread in this game? I was thinking that at one point we were 9-1 against the spread in this game over the Mac and Chiz era or something like that. I think that is part of the basis for the super bowl theory that hawk fans love so much, the fact that we constantly outperform Vegas in this game.

I'm pretty good usually with guessing lines and would give us 14-17.

I think the D key on your keyboard is stuck. You should try cleaning it.

Sriously though, how good(ddd) are the Hawks? They have a great defense and a decent to good offense. They almost lost to multiple teams last year that they have more talent than. UNI, Arkansas State, Indiana, Michigan State. I will give them a pass on losing to Northwestern because they lost their QB, but they weren't playing exceptionally well when he was in.

Iowa is NOT unbeatable, especially in a rivalry game where talent differential can sometimes mean nothing. They get a boost from being in Kinnick, but anything can happen.

This is actually lower than what I would have predicted. We got throttled last year, in our house. Yes everyone knows about the turnovers but hey it is what it is.
It will be interesting to see how we/they perform in week 1. This will dictate whether that spread gets closer to 10 or 17.
