Any idea who is tailgating

Went past the stadium and there was a group that looked to have a full blown tailgate going. Just curious who or for what purpose where they tailgating for.

They were located on the east side and there was multiple groups joined in. Flags flying and the works.

They're starting to tear down the south end zone seating.

I thought they only opened the lots 6 hrs prior to kickoff.......there must be a change in policy.

Does anyone know why they don't have concerts at JTS anymore? Is it a City of Ames issue? ISU issue? Athletic Dept/grass field issue?

And, if we did....would the money go to the City of Ames or ISU....both? Just the athletic dept?

Get Green Day....Aerosmith.....etc...

We could have some weekend tailgate sessions again if that were the case. Would be sweet.

Have they had a concert since the grass went down? That would be my guess.

For a while there in the early 90's, they were having at least one big show per summer it would seem. U2, Pink Floyd, Rolling Stones, Billy Joel & Elton John.

Probably the biggest money maker at the time...

They don't have concerts anymore at JTS because they don't want to ruin the grass field. The prior concerts were at the football stadium when we still had astro turf.

They had some big country concert when I was at ISU, I think it was a George Strait thing. It was an all day concert, I remember it because after lifting in the Jacobson Building some of us were hanging out and watching the crew construct the stage in the north endzone.
