Kid reminds me of Sam McGuffie but with more power.Sam McGuffie - Yahoo! Sports.
I still think that ISU is after Robert Standard from St. Louis as their first choice. Cam looks like a good RB, but I'd still rather have Standard. Not to mention he has blown up and we likely don't have much of a shot now.
Cam looks like this kid out of East Dillon, TX named Luke (forgot last name). Really good speed, untapped power, good kid. Dad makes him work on the farm in the morning and after practice. Although I heard he might have a bit of a prescription pill problem and just found out he knocked up some girl in his class.
Originally played for the Dillon Panthers but because of a border war had to switch to East Dillon where the scouts aren't as prevalent.
A couple years ago they had a FB/LB that I thought projected well to college football. He was set to go D! but then decided to go another route. Since, he has dropped out of school, openned a shop with his brother and has been busted because said shop was found to be a chop shop. Rumor is that he took the blame because the brother has a kid on the way and he didn't want him to go to jail. Since he has been in jail, his gf(hot as hell) has gotten engaged. Kid has made some bad choices but from what I have heard is a good guy. Rough upbringing.
hes gonna get laid on his butt one time in practice before he learns to stop jumping over people.
What impressed me the most was CMjr's hands. This kid can catch the ball in a crowd, tuck it away and run. Does he run the hurdles in track? His jumping technique looks that of a hurdler. Maybe he could be a track star in addition to FB. CMjr seems to protect the ball fairly well; doesn't expose the ball very much when making cuts. Even so, I have to agree hurdling over defenders at the GL leaves him too exposed, but that's an issue the coaching staff will correct. Gets YAC decently as well. Excellent prospect.
