Re: ISU needs more of a national following
The next time we are in a bowl game, no one should go. That way our ratings would be super high.

ESPN ranked our bowl 29th out of 34th last year... Ranking the bowls from best to worst - ESPN -

Heck, I don't know anybody that goes out at 6:00 to start celebrating for New Year's Eve.

Re: ISU needs more of a national following
winning year after year would help and not 7-6 every year either, need to have a few 10 win season for people to start taking us seriously

I disagree with that last statement, just about everybody I know starts celebrating New Year's Eve before 6 PM. Course most of my friends really like to party.

Re: ISU needs more of a national following
Yeah being on the NFL network really screwed us. I think if it had been on ESPN we may have seen a rating around 3-4.

I disagree with that last statement, just about everybody I know starts celebrating New Year's Eve before 6 PM. Course most of my friends really like to party. I was out in Orange County and since I didn't have the NFL network I just found an empty bar (since it was like 4 in the afternoon) and got them to put it on. No place has the NFL network on by default.

You can't ignore the fact that two mediocore teams played a complete snooze-fest of a game though.
