ISU and Utah mutually backing out of 2011 matchup?
M&M discussing this. This would be INCREDIBLE, IMO.

Hmm, do we want to go to Utah and play a good team on the road, or do we want to schedule ANOTHER HOME GAME, against a cream puff, and not have to pay anything for it?
We just won the ******* lottery.

Can totally see why both would want to make the change. Both program's schedules just got a lot tougher. Makes sense.
I have no problem keeping the game nor do I have a problem with it getting dumped.

I have no problem keeping the game nor do I have a problem with it getting dumped. If you want to work your way towards national respect, which it seems most posters on here do, you have to keep that matchup. Backing out of a matchup against a good team to schedule some junk FCS school does not bring any respect. Quite the opposite. I absolutely want to keep Utah on the schedule next year.

I was planning a trip there next season -

Wouldn't this just get replaced with another conference game with Nebraska leaving?

We already have @UConn. And I doubt we'd schedule an FCS school, since we're already playing UNI.
Remember, our non-conference slate for 2011 currently is @Utah, Iowa, @UConn, and UNI. I think we need to drop either Utah or UConn. That's a murderous non-conference schedule.

Boise State plays the blind and handicapped and I'd say they have national respect. Wins get you respect.
