That was a pole of about 28 players of the approximately 850 players in the conference. We need to worry about ourselves and winning games. then you can worry about what others think of you.

One thing to remember is that the question was worded "If you had to remove one more school...". They don't necessarily want us gone, but we're one of the least desired schools in the Big XII.
I don't think that should come as a surprise. First of all, we haven't had alot of athletic success. Secondly, we don't have a large fan base or market. And third, with Nebraska gone we're somewhat removed geographically from the other schools.
I'd probably pick Baylor, because there's several reasons they don't really fit in the Big XII as well. But if I looked at it honestly and without any bias, ISU would be my number 2.
If the poll was taken in kansas or iowa or maybe Missouri, Baylor would win the question. I do not think the Daily Oklahoman cares a rat's tail about the North at this point.

Says a lot about what others think of ISU. Personally, I do not care. I agree w/ the poster who said alot depends on what schools were represented. South Schools don't care about the North at all.
well now isnt that interesting....boys I could care less what the rest of the bigxii thinks of Iowa State.
it's really a moot question anyhow since the big xii will be gone in about three years or so......
I think Jamie and the good dr goeffrey had better start looking for a new home/ conference for us because at this point the big 12 isn't looking so good since both nebraska and colorado has good good bye and good riddance to the Texas Ten Conference!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
