I wish I could make it larger in my sig pic, so you could actually read it. Full size version is on WRNL, and it's pretty good. I think we're going to keep running "Paul Rhoads IS the most interesting man in the world" segments.
In 1984, I was hospitalized for approaching perfection.

The point is that the crimes are indeed apples to apples. They all took a credit card & used it without permission. Bowman & Douglas sat the entire season then left school. Sims is going to sit one game.

I will tell you that I think one game is a fine suspension but I'm not holier than thou.
Douglas was suspended for the credit card issue and then booted from the team in October for stealing DVDs.

He also was involved in the City Boyz Inc. deal...while not illegal, it didn't look good. Not to mention, his crime had "felony" behind it while Sims' didn't. Not totally apples to apples.

I think the felony is a big difference in the cases. While the incidents are not that different, the felony tag is really big in public perception.

But in the future we need to stop judging how Iowa handles it disciplinary actions.

This. Finally a poster with good old fashioned common sense.

It's big in our legal system too.

Seems fair. He's paying the price and luckily for us fans it's not too bad.

The NIU spokeswoman would not go into detail about whether Bell’s absence from the game was because of a transfer agreement between NIU and Iowa State. He will be active for the Sept. 11 home opener against South Dakota.
A transfer Agreement? I had no idea you could determine what games people played in.

I'm finding out that when athletes are let go from their scholarships at a D-1 program, part of the agreement in letting them out is if they transfer to a program that plays their original program in the future, they agree not to play against their original program.
