Sorry about that Neal comment. I realize he's a good player now and gives his heart out.

I have nothing against Neal but he hasn't shown me anything yet. Time and time again I saw Big 12 teams rush right at his side every time they needed a first down. They also double-teamed Lyle and never ever double-teamed Neal. If it wasn't for Jesse Smith, we wouldn't have won 7 games last season.

Nelson will be good. He should be starting opposite Parker with McDounough and Rump or Johnson between them. I have a real good feeling about this years defense.

Well, Parker is a 4 year starter and had worse statistics for 2008, the last year he played. Parker in 2008 started 12 games with 21 tackles and 1 sack. That sack came in the last game of the year too (KSU).

Neal has only been at DE for a year now. In 2008, he was a TE and caught a TD pass against Mizzou. He is just learning the position and did pretty damn well last year considering the circumstances.

Everyone just go ahead and keep putting guys like Pat Neal down. He is a football player. He just gets it and ISU needs more guys like him.

Rony Nelson has a LONG way to go to beat out Neal. Neal will be the starter.

Don't automatically annoint Nelson as the savior for the defense. He's not that at all. Right now he gives us some needed depth and that's about it. Sorry to burst everyone's bubble.

Maybe he will eventually see the field some, but it may take a while.

What the **** kind of realism is "he'll probably get hurt" exactly?

I have just been disappointed in the past, and instead of being disappointed again, I expect the worst. Sorry for forming my own opinion, I thought this was a forum....

This thread is awesome just for the fact that there are two spellings of the word ****** in this thread that aren't even close to being correct. we have "duesher" and "dooshes."

And that's why. Proper spelling will get the star asterisk treatment.
