I think Van Der Kamp will do just fine. Hes got a leg on him.

More important than his distance is how long does he take to get it off. We've had punters that can kick the ball far, but they took so long the ball ended up landing 10 yards behind them.

Good lord this whole position/story makes me nervous...

This is a very big deal. Brandtner was so reliable and good. One of the things that you do not wish to do as a coach is put a freshmen out there in front of 50-80,000 screaming fans, on national TV on his own 20 yd line. The punter can turn the game around - EITHER WAY - This one makes me very, very nervous.

Pretty sure we will have a handful of miscues in the punting game this year. Hopefully it doesn't cost us too severely.

He's left footed. Weird.

My guess would be that some one was sending him the ball. And it would be a net 50. If you watch the videos on Cyclones.com, someone shouts out the distances of every punt. Every punt is recorded.

I also doubt that CPR would be making positive comments about 35 yard net punts.

Rhoads actually said we led the nation in net punting last year. Is that not correct? You have us at 12th.

kirby will be our punter.
