Thanks for asking mk, but we don't want to look like we're "advertising" too much over here, so as not to take advantage of CW & CF. We will have details on tailgating events in the near future on the WRNL site.

I can't say that I remember #9. That's because of the copius amounts of alcohol I had consumed in the tailgating lots. Good thing, too.

ISU gets 27 more points and it's an 11-0 regular season.
8 points from 9-2.
I have to say, I didn't recall the Missouri game was that close to being put into the win column. I was busy with home projects during those couple of weeks, mainly just caught final scores of NU & MU games.

I know I'm forgetting something, but four of the Bottom 5 are:
Alabama '01
UConn '02
Missouri '04
KU '05
What am I leaving out?

Re: 25 most painful losses this decade...
Sometimes I think that those close losses showed that we were not a bad team, but not a good team. We could compete but we couldn't close the deal (forget the ugly losses against OU or Texas - I'm talking about losses against Mizzou, K-State, KU, etc). It's more of a mental issue: you know what you need to do in certain situations.
Looks like CPR has worked on it. See CU, Insight.com bowl and Nebby games: in the past, I don't think we'd have won those games.

If Coleman's "fumble" is ruled a TD...
If Paris's fumble recovery for a TD stands...
If KU's "touchdown" is properly spotted...
ISU is undefeated against undefeated Texas for the Big 12 title. Even if we lose, we're probably looking at an at-large BCS bid. Un real.

I am trying remember here.... was that the year when we were beating Mizzou by 13 points with like 6 or 7 minutes to go and our D knocked Brad Smith out of the game. In comes some goofy freshman qb named Chase and he tears our D to shreds and Mizzou wins?

I could even concede the NU or Baylor games, and ISU still might've had a not-bad bowl waiting.
Texas might have spanked us in the title game, but I'm pretty sure the score wouldn't have been 70-3.
70-3. Yeah, Colorado deserved the represent the North that season. -

Oh yes, I forgot about 05. Man, talk about a big time kick to the junk. I had almost forgotten how much I hate overtime.

Looks like CPR has worked on it. See CU, Insight.com bowl and Nebby games: in the past, I don't think we'd have won those games. I think that is correct. Under Danny Mac we had trouble closing out games as perfectly demonstrated by several of the games on this list. Playing "not to lose" became our MO. That is why I was in favor of a coaching change back then.
I think our MO has changed under CPR.
