WRNL is doing a countdown of the most painful losses of the past decade for ISU football. Going to be an all week thing. Most Painful Losses, 2000-2009 (Part 1) Wide Right & Natty Light http://widerightnattylight.com/2010/...0-2009-part-2/
Let's see your lists.

Why do we do this to ourselves? Let's look forward to the future...

Re: 25 most painful losses this decade...
Seems like WRNL should be waiting until the weekend to release this... so people can properly drown their sorrows while reading this list.
Then again... maybe they're doing the community a favor by releasing it slowly over the week, preventing a drunken riot of distraut Cyclone Fans looking for an outlet for their rage of repeatedly being kicked in the nuts by life
Oh we will fight, fight, fight for Iowa State, and may her colors ever fly!!! In Accordance with Prophecy -

It seems like it'd be easier to find 25 painful ones, but there were so nice wins during that decade, too.
No. 25, that Texas game — got to see that one live; the once-a-year trip to an ISU game. That was pretty awful.

25? Are we taking into account all sports, or going back all the way to 1858?

The real question here is whether Michigan State Elite-8 game or the game involving that other team who was a significantly lower seed than us in an a certain tournament involving the bouncing and shooting of an orange ball will be #1 on the list.

In a list of the 25 worst FOOTBALL losses? Severely doubt it. -

Oh, that Hampton game was so bad it is actually number one on the list for worst football losses as well as basketball. Holding it to just one list just doesn't do it justice. And of all the games on the list, it is the only one that I get reminded of several times by the national media every March.
Excuse me while I go find a sharp object....
