Is something wrong with our new WR Chris Young? I'm getting different comments on facebook by alot of our players like "your in our prayers chris young". Chris can you get us an update and try to find out whats going on?

I'm sorry, I really hate facebook stalking of our players and airing out here. It's one thing when it's Staiger and Hamilton being d-bags, but not something like this.

Of course, if I was a player, I wouldn't allow strangers to add me too, so I guess they sort of open it up.

I agree, but they should know it's the way of society now. Don't add people you don't know and make your profile private if you don't like it.
I still remember how people reacted when you quoted information from any internet site back in the late 90s early 00s. It was taken as a joke and nothing on the internet was real.
It's always something.

Everybody is learning how to deal with stuff like this. Knowing you GC, I am sure that this fascinates you as much as it does me. It is the same with leagues, athletic departments, etc.

Do you let them have Twitter? Do you credential this guy? What about him? Is he a blogger or a journalist? What in the hell is a blogger anyway?

Everybody is learning.

That's what I love about journalism these days. It's completely changing every 5 to 10 years after being pretty standard for a long time.
From an SID viewpoint, you have to be way more in tune and paying attention to what your audience is paying attention to. If that makes sense. If the conversation is going on at cyclonefanatic.com moreso than the Sioux City Journal - that's where your credentials and priorities need to be.
When it comes to facebook, it's fascinating. Working now in the marketing world; I remember reading a story about 5 years ago saying facebook was going to become a big marketing tool for businesses. I thought that was a joke. Well, here we are spending hours each week trying to figure out how to best leverage social media.
You put it out there, it's free game for journalists. As a journalist, if you don't follow these "leads" you're going to get scooped at every turn. Time to get used to it.
For coaches, put a stop to it. It isn't a democracy in that program.

It's no different then your business monitoring your personal facebook account. I have a buddy who is a teacher at a 4A school and he has two facebooks: one is his under his name that can (and is) viewed by the school district, faculty, parents, and students. The other is an alias that only his close friends know is him so he can comment however he wants.

Back to the question.. hope all is well with Young. Those types of comments sound like something serious (illness, death, etc.) Just speculating.

He said he saw it on the news feed and asked a simple question. Don't get your panties in a bunch guys. If you saw that on your news feed, you would have asked someone or posted it on here too. I can't believe you guys are trying to make clones21 look like a scumbag, really uncalled for.
