Sportscenter just dissed the Cyclones

While showing Colt McCoy highlights they said "It ain't Iowa State, you can't throw into double coverage". This was said while he threw an int into the end zone. He did manage to follow it up with "No offense Cyclones by the way". Sure, none taken...

Ha, just got another mention. Sage Rosenfels highlights were playing and they said he did much better than Tavarious Jackson throwing for "310 yards and 3 touchdowns, now those Iowa State people love me".

Were the Cyclones mentioned because Seneca was playing? Regardless, that stuff is scripted and the first line was likely setting up the second line. ESPN and SC are so cliche and tired right now.

Yeah, happens quite a lot. Few days ago on College Football Live they were talking about Oklahoma and their schedule and one of the guys mentioned that we play Oklahoma right after they play Texas and that Oklahoma needs to be careful to not have a "red river hangover." Then all the other announcers practically started laughing at him for saying that Iowa State has a chance to challenge (not even beat) Oklahoma.

Until we win the Big 12 or at least the Big 12 North and stay there, expect to be the butt of a lot of jokes and take a lot of cheap shots. That's just the way it is.

The game announcers identified Sage Rosenfels out of OHIO (freaking) STATE!

Colt McCoy hasn't faced ISU since 2007. How in the **** is that relevant to what he does in his first preseason game as an NFL rookie??? ESPN is just a bunch of kiddie-pool deep talking heads. They spout the same recycled **** over and over. Come off of it ESPN. Your clever little sayings don't make watching you any easier. Too bad you have monopolized the market and there is really no competition when it comes to turning on, tuning in and getting scores asap. You have become the MTV of the sporting world. But what do I know, I'm a Cyclone.

I remember that such a tease. I thought they were going to show some highlights go into what could happen. but no they had to be dicks about it.

he's probably just referencing a bad big 12 team. if tim tebow threw a pick against the cheifs, you might say, "hey this isn't vanderbilt"
