Iowa State Youtube Video Call to Action

I have been watching ISU youtube videos for the past hour or so, but there aren't a whole lot on there. The ones on there are pretty good. Nebraska game highlights, CPR so proud moment, 08 and 09 intro videos, sweet caroline videos of the student section, seneca wallace heisman highlights, a couple top ten lists, and other stuff I probably forgot.

However, thats only 10 videos maximum that are on there. With all the computer savvy people at ISU I would think we could come up with more videos with actual highlights and videos that look really sweet. I think it's about time we started making some really cool videos with highlights and music.

I would if I had any skill at that kind of stuff, but I am worthless with it.

Blame ISUvideo for that, there used to be a bunch of good videos (CU 05, Iowa 03, 07), mainly by ace but they all got took down. Pry due to the athletics dept. Kinda sucks.

Agreed. You can find the NDSU and Kent State games our there, but where are the other 5 wins. If you search for "insight bowl montage" here is a nice video.

Is there any way to repost these videos? Post them again and they will be up until someone happens to find them on there again

Those were all cut from the replay shows, which Learfield owns. If Learfield doesn't want them on YouTube, they have the right to request the videos be removed.

I think they had some Iowa '05 vids on there as well. Or somebody did and they got taken down. I used to watch the 05 Iowa game highlights and the fans rushing the field after that game, at least twice a week. Now I can't find them.

Yes, this is for the most part exactly what happened. Unfortunate because I always felt the exposure outweighed the direct impact on sales (if any) through Clone Zone or B&G Productions.

Sorry guys. I have a ton of those games on DVD. If you want a copy, go down to B&G Productions on main street in Ames... and for $10 you can have your own shiny copy. Every now and then I'll throw in Colorado 2005, Iowa 2005, ect.

That said, how come there is tons of highlights and clips from other schools on youtube?

Are you open on weekends, more specifically FB game day weekends?

Exactly... the positive exposure of the videos would out weigh anything that Clone Zone or B&G Productions does. The demand for Clone Zone and B&G's videos is pretty limited. Clone Zone has for the most part been a failure anyway. I only pay for it when some of the games aren't on TV.

I don't know their hours... give them a call though. It will usually take them a day to get the DVD copied for you. Rod is a busy guy, but he will help you out if you give him time to make the copy. They run a small shop, so don't expect it to be lighting fast.
