Keep in mind that when you are talking about DE in this signing class, we have already likely gotten commitments from four players..... David Irving, Devin Lemke, Jevohn Miller, and Nick Kron (greyshirting this Fall, on scholarship starting next year).
IMO, Jevohn has got the frame to get way larger and heavier than needed as a LB.
Could be a real fast middle linebacker with leverage. Like an Ohio State player.
CFH HMagic bball season.
Let my fred's Four Horsemen ride.
Rosy Maggitt came in at 197 and is at 235 as a RS Soph. I'm betting that Lemke reports next June around 225. He has an entire redshirt year and it wouldn't surprise me at all to see him at 245 by fall 2012 as a RSFR. That's a decent-sized DE...not great but decent. By the time he's a SR, I could see him being 6'4 265.
Here is something to ponder (in the debate as whether you recruit college-sized DTs or build recruits up to college-sized DTs). Read an article this evening where Oregon State has had 3 of their 4 incoming DTs turn out to be "no shows". Two were 4 stars and the other a 3 star. OSU fans are pretty disappointed.
