Todd McShay's Top NFL Talent - Big 12

Todd McShay is an idiot... he really just posed the top Big 12 NFL talent and he doesn't seem to think Iowa State has ONE... ONE potential NFL talent. Alexander Robinson seems to disagree....

"The Big 12 has been represented in five of the past seven BCS National Championship games, so it's no surprise the conference continues to produce a ton of top NFL prospects.

Oklahoma, Nebraska and Texas have plenty of future NFL players, and while Iowa State is not represented here, every other school in the conference is a candidate to be represented on Sundays in 2011.

Here's a look at every Big 12 player who gets a draftable grade from Scouts Inc."

I'm thinking that ARob will get a look in the NFL, but he's not a lock to make a squad. David Simms or Ben Lamaak will have a better shot I think.

If he means draftable... then he is likely right.

David Sims will be drafted. Ben Lamaak could be. Arob, I don't know. He would have to impress in camps. He would need to be extremely versatile. KO will be drafted, just not next year.

    Or so I have read.

ARob needs a huge year (and to be 100% healthy) in order to have a shot at getting drafted. Sorry, that's just the reality of it.

Sims, Lamaak, and KO all have a shot at being drafted. Arob has it a little tougher

    Parker- no chance
    Arnaud- no chance
    Arob- chance
    Lamaak- chance
    Alvarez- no chance

i dont see Arob getting drafted either. I think we have a few NFL offensive lineman, and i think Sims will make it to camp or sneak into the draft...

Arnaud is what the NFL is looking for in a QB. If he has the year everyone is talking about he will be draftes. Arob is a good enough back to get drafted. Lamaak is just as good as Stephens. Sims will forsure if he has another good year. Those 3 should be locks.

KO is gonna end up starting one day in the league. Just not this year obviously.

I'm a big fan of AA - but he's gonna need to have a stellar year in order to get looks from NFL teams. An NFL caliber QB should never have the kind of game he did against Iowa last year. Granted, Iowa made Big Ben look like a blind fool years back - but these kinds of implosion games from quarterbacks rarely end up making it to the next level.

Too many turnovers for the NFL brass.

I know of seven people including myself that have a friend that currently plays for the Chicago Bears. You may think you are special, but you ain't.

I think ARob has a chance to be a great 3rd down change of pace back in the NFL.

In terms of yards and yards per game, Robinson was pretty good (25th nationally), but he needs to put up more points. He only got into the endzone 6 times last season (by comparison, the 24 guys ahead of him in ypg and total yards had a MINIMUM of 10 TDs).
