FSN Color Commentator Joel Klatt

He's the color guy for the game Thursday. If the name sounds familiar, he was Colorado's QB from 2003 - 2005. At least he should know who ISU is.

I think Joel is a very good color commentator. He is a rising name in College football TV.

The pxp guy Steve Physioc also does a solid job. He is the former Voice of K-State in the early '80s.

But you can always turn down the volume on the TV and turn the Cyclone Radio Network on. ;)

And spend the entire first quarter changing radio stations and fiddling with the DVR in order to get them to sync up.

IIRC, 105.1 doesn't have their delay on. 100.3 does.

The TV (cable) version usually falls somewhere between the two. And the HD and SD feeds are often timed differently.

Then, there's the satellite version. Who knows where that lines up.

That's what I prefer to do. Listen to people who know Iowa State the best. I even bring in a radio into JTS with me and have one earbud in my ear at all times.

I'm curious to people's feedback on Klatt. I think he does a pretty good job.

I've never actually seen him do TV. I don't get FSN (cheap ***), so I end up listening to half of the games on the radio anyway. Until they got too big last year, I used to rock my daughters to sleep listening to John Walters and Eric Heft from September through March.

I remember Klatt doing one of our games in the past I believe. He did a good job and was very fair and balanced.

Is Knoxy going to be on the sidelines? Early in the Mac era he came to do a game when it was Very Cold, I was on Cannon Crew and he was sitting huddled up in close proximity of the cannon - we warned him that was probably a poor place to sit, after a surprise score - he found a new place to stand!
