DL prospects for 2011 class

I have a feeling we are close on a couple Dlineman. I also think we have three future Dlineman already signed in Lemke, Irving and Boyd or Miller. We need interior though. Hopefully within the next couple weeks we have some.

I think that Boyd is a LB all the way. He'll fit right in with Knott, Klein and George. Miller IMO is a DL. For some reason, I see them growing him into a DT. I think that Lemke and Irving stay at DE and become the tall, rangy DEs that we've been missing. They need to get this Ebert kid as he would fit in right beside McDonough.

Fixed your Post.

Jake is not quite there yet. He has the tools to be great, but he needs to get alot more stout.

We could have a significantly different Dline next year.
DE-Rony Nelson, Maggit
DT-Reump, JUCO(taumpeou?)
DT-JUCO(Ebert), Mcdonough
DE-JUCO(Chaz Nelson, Filimoeatu), Lattimer

Any one know our chances at Ebert?

Talk about blowing up. I checked Ebert's profile a couple of weeks ago and it said he didn't have a single major offer. Now in the span of a week he's got us, Ok St., Penn St., and Oregon. Hopefully the staff utilizes the short distance and puts the pressure on. Go get 'em!

I assume the hawks will jump in on Ebert too.

I think Miller's too good of an athlete to put a lot of weight on and move to the DL even though he has the frame to do it with. That we haven't offered any more LB's since summer and that we're not talking about offering any more LB's and that we're focusing on DL with our remaining offers says to me that the coaches want Miller to stay at LB.

Per rivals, Rayner has committed to Colorado State as of today. I'm not sure if ISU is still recruiting him or not.

THAT is disappointing. Although, scoring a 14 on the ACT will cause some schools to back off! They need to do SOMETHING about that DL. And I don't think that ignoring it and signing more WRs and QBs is the answer. UNI has had a better DL than ISU for the past 5 years. If they can't recruit any better than they have on the DL so far, then maybe they better just look and see who UNI has committed and steal them.

Not point fingers, but this is so true.

Hopefully Brandon Harris is this weeks' target. Rayner is not a miss.
