What's with the love for Jake Locker?
Corect me if I'm wrong, but the guy is a four-year starter that's won something like a total of 9 games. People call him the "Tim Tebow of the West Coast", well, Tebow's thing was that he won games and was a great leader. This guy has won less games in his career than Tebow would in one season. I just don't understand what is so fantastic about Locker.

The kid can play. UW has been in some sort of sketchy rebuilding/recovery mode for years so he doesn't really have the supporting cast that tebow had as a qb of a gator team so well established. if tebow played for the huskies, he probably would be better than locker but still wouldn't be winning 9+ games a season.

Locker is a bad-***. Unfortunately, Washington has not been.
The guy broke his hand and was campaigning to play defensive back instead of QB so he could play.

I just don't see it. They say he could be the number 1 pick in the draft, and I just don't see him being anything other than a bust if he is.
Rebuilding or not, he hasn't won anything in a conference that is pretty weak.

I think that when the draft guru's look at him they are mainly looking at strength, mobility, accuracy, etc. than winning. I'm sure they understand what is around him and what he has to work with. To me, I think it makes him a better player and person for coming back for this year because he could have been drafted pretty high last year.

If you go back a few years, there was this player, I think his name might have been Troy Davis. Rumor has it he was a pretty good back. He became the first player EVER to rush for 2000 yards and not win the Heisman. He then became the first player ever to do it back to back to not win the Heisman. The only reason was team record, not talent. Now this was pre message board days but I remember being mad as hell, and all my friends were mad as hell. I think it's kinda nice that a good player on a crap team is finally getting some good pub.
