Where are all the Turner Gill groupies?

Oh we just had to get him and his mediocre results at Buffalo or the world would end, then people were 'unimpressed' with the Rhoads hire. Lol. I know which one i prefer.

Well, count me as a Turner Gill fan. He transformed Buffalo from a football hell hole to a decent football program. Betcha he does fine at KU (after he fires Chuck Long).

This is stupid. I never was a Turner Gill fan, but who's to say he couldn't have done what CPR did? Mangino left the roster pretty void of talent there, where as CPR had some nice pieces already in place when he took over. If Gill took over when CPR did, who's to say he wouldn't have gotten to a bowl game?

That's like saying that Brian Kelly would have had the same success here that he did in Cincinatti. We'll never know for sure, but Mac left with not a lot of FBS talent on this team, so chances are he wouldn't have had the same level of success.

It will take Gill at least two or three recruiting classes to turn things around at KU. They seem to be off to a good start in 2011. ISU has some work to do with its 2011 class.

I'm still a Turner Gill fan. It's pretty cool to judge a guy off 1 game when he took over a pretty crappy situation. Even if Mangino wouldn't have had any problems last year and was back this year, they'd be in a rebuilding year. Todd Reesing carried that offense on his back for the better part of 3 years.

Gill may end up doing well in the long run.

Unless the NDSU loss was a complete fluke, it ought to embarrass prognosticators who picked KU in the top 40 in preseason.
