Exclamation ISU MBB Open Pickup Game - Sat 1pm

ISU MBB Open Pickup Game - Sat 1pm

ISU's Men's Basketball team will be having an open pickup-game on Saturday starting around 1pm in Hilton Coliseum. The special attraction for the scrimmage is the fact that several key recruits will also be attending, and possibly participating in the event.

You are welcome to show up around 12:45 or so and the event will of course be free for all visitors. There may be some time adjustments as Saturday gets closer but it appears 1:00 will be a pretty firm time.

A program isn't built on one player and it doesn't succeed because of one player, thus a program won't fail if it doesn't get that one player.

Re: ISU MBB Open Pickup Game - Sat 1pm

Are recruits allowed to play in a game like this?

I would pay for this scrimmage if Gmac played. Does anyone have his history as a player? Just Curious.

McD played at UNI, it's his alma mater.

And it's fine for recruits to play as long as there are no coaches there directing anything. I doubt JP and McD would risk anything and it is thought out.

What years did he play? Don't waste too much time on my petty questions if you don't want to.

So anyone other than Kenton Walker and Andre McFarland expected to be there? Im glad my parking lot permit is very close to Hilton. I might have to stagger my way over there in between beers.

When will the shootout take place after the game? I assume itll be the game or two after Neb. but im not sure.

Re: ISU MBB Open Pickup Game - Sat 1pm

I'm really glad to hear they are doing this. It's a great way to sell the program to fans and potential recruits alike, and to build excitement. EIU used to do this (don't know if they still do) and attracted pretty good crowds before football games. I'm sure we could attract some even better crowds at Hilton.

GO CYCLONES!
