LOL. I don't know why, but I found this hilarious. Probably because it's so politically correct...I love it.

Montrel Clark may 180 but we do have a weight room. He can use it if he has skill on the basketball court. Walker wasn't exactly Brent Curvey. He was a bit on the slender side as well. Also last I checked Kevin Garnett woould probably get pushed around by Homan also. Then again maybe he would just school Homan without having to get pushed around.

Sorry guys about making a prediction with a percentage on it. I never should have done that and it obviously made me look foolish today:) My 95% was based on feedback Kenton himself had been giving as well as those around him. He really liked ISU but Creighton just had more for him in the end. I'll make sure not to put those type of numbers out there anymore as it's not only foolish but innacurate in the fact that nobody truly ever knows whats up with these kids until it's official.

A program isn't built on one player and it doesn't succeed because of one player, thus a program won't fail if it doesn't get that one player.

What...now you're not allowed to speculate like the rest of us? Bull!

To those of you on Jeremy's back about is previous thoughts that we were almost a shoe-in for Walker - get off his back.

I saw many times he stated he thought for sure we'd get Walker but also followed it up with "but I'm not 100% sure on that". All he had to go on was the information he was getting from Walker and others in the program.

I saw guys on CN say the same things about Walker. So it went the other way...and now we rip on a guy bringing us the information?

Well...don't complain when next time you want to know more details and Jeremy withholds some of the info.

Re: ISU looses Walker, McFarland to follow?

You're talking about dealing with 17-19 year olds...these kids have a mind of their own and can choose what they want to and when. They say they are going to do one thing and then turn around with another idea and go with it.

Coach McDermott has said before, he didn't want to go into the family business of farming b/c of the unpredictable nature of weather, market, etc...so instead he got in the business where 18-22 year old kids determine his future! :) I'm sure there are plenty of plans in place since Walker didn't commit.

Re: ISU looses Walker, McFarland to follow?

keep putting the percentages! You have a better idea than I do about if they will/won't be cyclones in the future - so put a % basis, and we can all assume that cyclone fans are smart enough to realize that those are best estimates/guesses at this time. Just don't pull any of those "something really big happend, but I'm not telling" thing again. Those are frustrating.

Re: ISU looses Walker, McFarland to follow?

This is exactly why im pissed that Marsden and Thompson have scholarships. I knew eventually we would get screwed over. Neither of them are good at all, they just happen to be 6'10. I think both of them could be average players if they went to Drake, but I don't see any of them contributing anything on a big 12 basketball court. Seeing those two gives me hope. I only have to hit a 9 inch growth spurt and I can play division one basketball.

I have total trust in GMAC but why are we competing and losing players to mid-level programs like Creighton and Idaho...ok, Creighton I can see but Idaho?

Also, where is everyone getting the information that these players are so good? I see people posting about "how they really hope we get this kid"...has anyone seen them play other than random internet clips? Not trying to pass judgement, I really just don't understand.

Re: ISU looses Walker, McFarland to follow?

I think a lot of people want them because that is who ISU is persuing, and if they are good enough for McD, they are pretty much good enough for the people around here too. As it should be.

Clones have some competition down the street....Altman appears to be a lot like McDermott in their approach to basketball.

Walker will be playing home games in the 17,500 seat Quest Center. Creighton has sold 14,000 season tickets to date (more than twice as many as nebraska). Fan support is better for Creighton than the Clones: http://www.gocreighton.com/sports/co...articleID=5193

Creighton’s average attendance figures in 2005-06 were better than each team that qualified for the 2006 Final Four, as well as major-conference schools around the Midwest such as Iowa, Iowa State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Minnesota.

1500 seats have been added which will proabbly be filled. Do not be surprised that attendance matches Kansas this year.

ISU "loses" Walker

That is too bad. However, I am not surprised. I was more surprised when the "95% chance" statement came out. With ISU geting Brackins, I expected Walker to go somewhere that he is needed more, somewhere he can get more play time.
