-Iowa State (14-12, 4-7) travels to Lubbock, Texas to face Texas Tech (14-11, 5-6) on Saturday...TTU is tied for sixth in the Big 12 standings at 5-6 and the Cyclones are among four teams tied for eighth in the league with 4-7 marks.
-TTU has won six of the last seven meetings in the series.
-The Cyclones have a week off since their last game, a 60-52 comeback win against Nebraska last Saturday...the game was held during
ISUs Centennial Celebration, where
ISU celebrated 100 years of mens basketball by inviting back all of its alumni and honoring its 15-member All-Century team at halftime.
-The win ended a four-game losing streak for the Cyclones and gave
ISU head coach Greg McDermott his 250th victory of his career.
-The Cyclones won the game despite scoring the lowest half total (11) in Big 12 history in the first half...down 24-11 at the break, the Cyclones outscored the Huskers 49-28 in the second half to win the game.
-It marked the second time this season where
ISU scored 15 points or less in a half and came back to score 40 or more points in the second half for a comeback win.
-
ISU was down 22-15 against Colorado earlier in the year, but outscored the Buffs, 42-19 in the second half to came away with a 57-41 victory on Jan. 29.
