CycloneFanatic will finally be receiving the CFv5.0 upgrade this weekend! I finished the final testing last night and will be completing the upgrade either late tonight or late Saturday night. The changes will be structural for the most part but you will notice a few differences visually, especially when viewing somebody's profile page. Overall this upgrade will be relatively seamless and unnoticeable until I actually enable the new features.
Almost all of the enhancements and new features of the upgrade will be disabled at first to make sure the upgrade goes smoothly. After a couple days of monitoring the system, I'll start to roll out the enhancements gradually to allow people to get accustomed to them. I will be having a few testers, mainly the moderators, give me feedback on some of the new features before releasing them into the wild to make sure I don't need to revise anything before the masses start to utilize the features.
At this point I don't have a thorough explanation and overview of all of the new features but I'm sure some of them will be quite obvious and make people very happy. I'll be working on putting together a post with a general overview later this weekend or early next week that should help explain the features and highlight the biggest changes.
